A new
apple music
experience

Apple music is my go-to music streaming app I’ve used for nearly a decade. While I was talking to my friends about different kinds of streaming apps, some ideas for enhancement started to  emerge in my mind.

GETTING STARTED

Analysis

To determine grounds of enhancements, I’ve analyzed the app in terms of its current information architecture, and received various feedback from current users.

Current IA Breakdown

In analyzing Apple Music’s current IA, I identified several potential areas of enhancement. Although the current app does include numerous interesting features, I thought that reorganizing and simplifying them would further maximize the usability of the app.

Interview Takeaways

Conducting a brief interview on the app’s features helped me to gain a better understanding of how certain features should be altered or improved. It was interesting to discover overlaps and variances between my friends’ and my feelings toward each feature. Below is a screenshot of the notes I’ve taken during the interview. From the feedback received, I decided to focus on enhancing features that emerged the most.
