Reimagining mental wellness app
Bloom app redesign
With the COVID-19 pandemic bringing drastic changes to our daily lives, many have begun reaching out for external help on their mental toll – from psychiatrists to mental wellness apps. In response to this phenomenon and being an avid mental wellness app user myself, I decided to redesign Bloom to enhance its usability.

Wrapping Up
Through this project, I learned how personalization is an essential feature in order for every user to maximize his or her experience. Moreover, the hierarchy and wording within the app should be clear to minimize confusion. If users feel confused and overwhelmed while using the app, it’s most likely that they will discontinue their usage and leave on a negative note.
In the future, I would like to conduct more usability testing to take each user’s unique feedback into enhancing Bloom’s features. Although we wouldn’t be able to take every individual’s situation into account, it would be helpful to devise of various ways to cope with each circumstance.
